Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)

Root canal therapy is performed on teeth affected by deep decay or often, a painful infection. In an effort to save a tooth, the pulp (which is the tissue inside the tooth) is removed along with the nerves, bacteria and decay. The empty space is then filled with advanced, medicated dental materials. After the root canal has healed, a dental crown is later placed, restoring the tooth to its full and original function.

Root canal therapy is a superior alternative to pulling a painful, infected tooth. Dr. Powell believes that ultimately, root canal therapy is less costly and more beneficial to your oral health and aesthetics. Our team works hard to make root canal therapy as painless and smooth as possible to safeguard your smile and restore your dental health.
